Annette O'Toole grew up in the Houston dance studio run by her mom. As a toddler her appearance on television for the first time at age two. After ten years of singing and dance lessons, her mother and she traveled to L.A. to try and see if a show business career could be a possibility. In less than two months, she got her first paid job, performing with Danny Kaye on Danny Kaye Show with Danny Kaye. "I've utilized my dance and singing training to a great extent," she says. The discipline gained from it is a huge benefit for an actor." O'Toole's first role in My Three Sons was followed by parts in Gunsmoke and The Mod Squad. She also appeared on Hawaii Five-O, The Mod Squad, The Partridge Family. O'Toole's greatest love, despite her successes in film and on television was theatre. Following her time on Smallville She decided to concentrate on theatre which she'd been doing in the past ten years. When she moved in New York, she had her first performance in The Sea Gull. She's appeared in a variety of off Broadway productions, including Adam Rapp's "Kindness", Tracy Letts Man from Nebraska in addition to Tennessee Williams A Lovely Sunday for Creve Couer.
